Personal data we collect

This website has no forms or other data-entry points: we do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal data you enter here.

To keep the website secure and working, our server may process technical metadata such as your IP address and basic request information.

Umami Cloud analytics processes the page URL and title, referrer information, browser, operating system and device type, approximate location, and the names of events that we define. An IP address is used to derive an anonymous session and approximate location, but Umami does not store it.

If you write to us at ai@orav.eu or get in touch on LinkedIn, we process your message and the contact details it contains solely in order to reply to you.

We do not offer a newsletter or user accounts, and we do not collect any data associated with them.

Legal bases

Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR) to respond to your message, keep the website secure, and understand aggregate use of the website.

Purposes

We use the data only to receive and answer your enquiry, to communicate with you about our services, to understand aggregate website use, and to protect the website against abuse and security threats.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or automated decision-making.

Recipients and processors

Your data may be processed on our behalf by trusted service providers: our website hosting provider Amazon Web Services (AWS), with the website hosted in the EU (Stockholm, eu-north-1 region); Umami Software, Inc., which provides Umami Cloud analytics in the selected EU region; and our email provider, through which correspondence with us passes.

These providers act under a data-processing agreement and process the data only on our instructions.

International transfers

Website hosting and Umami Cloud analytics data are configured for the EU region. Umami’s provider is established in the United States; where it or our email provider needs to process data outside the EEA, we use applicable safeguards such as the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). To request more information or a copy of the relevant safeguards, email ai@orav.eu.

Retention

We keep correspondence with us for up to 24 months after the enquiry has been handled and resolved, unless a longer period is required by law. Technical server logs are kept only for as long as needed for security and reliable operation; aggregate analytics data is kept for the retention period configured in our Umami Cloud account.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified, erased, or its processing restricted, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to receive it in a portable format where the conditions in the GDPR are met.

Providing data and automated decisions

Contacting us is voluntary and you are not legally required to provide personal data. If you want a reply or ask us to take pre-contractual steps, we need at least your contact details and the substance of your enquiry; without them we may be unable to respond.

We do not make automated decisions about you or carry out profiling.
