Solo Client AI Rules Card
Use with Solo AI Rules for Client Work.
What this is not
Not an employer AI policy, not legal advice, not a substitute for your NDA, and not permission to paste client secrets into consumer tools.
1. Paste bans (hard stops)
- Credentials / keys / access screenshots
- Full contracts or negotiation drafts
- Unpublished financials or deal terms
- Personal data about client’s customers or staff
- Security findings / production architecture
- Anything labeled confidential or covered by NDA
2. Conditionally allowed assists (narrow)
- Contract and client approval checked for the exact tool, tenant/account, purpose, and data class
- Structure, outlines, or grammar on material the approved path permits
- De-identified pattern questions only after re-checking whether context can still identify the client
- Provider retention, training, access controls, and authentication checked for the configured account
3. I still own
- Fee / pricing (no model-dictated rates)
- Scope boundaries and timelines
- Delivery promises in proposals and chat
4. Disclosure habit
- Appreciable AI help disclosed when client/platform/context requires it
- I remain accountable for the deliverable
- AI use, sources, verification, and required human review recorded with the project
5. Escalation triggers (stop prompting)
- Legal enforceability / dispute strategy -> lawyer
- Tax / entity / invoice compliance -> accountant
- Regulated advice domains -> licensed professional
- Skill or capacity gap -> collaborator or client renegotiation
Before each new retainer
- Contract and written client approval cover which exact tools/accounts may touch each data class; notification alone is not permission
- This card reviewed once; pinned next to proposal template
