• Full statement PDF / CSV / OFX / screenshot
• Account, IBAN, routing, card, or PIN data
• OTPs, password exports, session URLs
• Tax IDs, passport/ID images, check photos
• Wire instructions or payment QR codes

Lower-data alternatives, only on an approved path

• Exact tool/account and purpose approved; no credentials or full statement uploaded
• Fictional/public examples for learning; real statement data stays local unless an approved processing path specifically requires it
• Category labels instead of employer/landlord names when possible
• One question per paste; minimum rows required

Before upload urge

1. Can I answer with 10 typed lines? Y / N
2. If no, can I complete the task locally without sending the dataset elsewhere? Y / N
3. If still no, verify purpose, access, retention, sharing, deletion and authorization for the exact tool and feature; redaction alone is not guaranteed anonymization: [ ]
4. Use the bank’s controlled channel or an appropriately qualified professional’s approved secure portal instead of a consumer AI upload: [ ]

After any finance prompt

• No account numbers in the chat
• Chat does not contain enough residual digits + name to re-identify the account
• I will not grant a browser extension live bank access for “insights”

If I already uploaded a statement or secret

• Recorded the exact tool/account, file or fields, time, and any sharing link
• Used the provider’s current privacy/security reporting route and preserved relevant evidence
• Contacted the bank promptly if account, card, credential, or transaction security may be affected
• Revoked or rotated exposed credentials/tokens and followed bank advice on freezes, replacement, alerts, and monitoring; deleting the chat alone is not an undo
